First Pop-up Night at the Roof Garden, Finnebrogue Artisan

09/09/2016

On Thursday 25th August Finnebrogue Artisan celebrated the opening of the picturesque Roof Garden Café with an ‘off the cuff’ pop-up restaurant. Our very own team of fantastic foodies and staff worked alongside Chef Chris Burt to prepare a spectacular eight-course menu. Packed with local ingredients, the menu included venison tapas, roasted beetroot and acorn veloute, Young Buck cheese and a Strangford Lough crab misubi.

On the morning of the event Chef Chris Burt and our Farm Manager Mark could be found out on the Finnebrogue Estate foraging reindeer moss and fresh blackberries for the feast to follow later that day.

Over 50 very welcome guests were g  reeted by Christine & Ciara Lynn and guided upstairs with Sarah to the Champagne reception. They were all very complimentary of the new Finnebrogue Artisan facility and mentioned how lucky we are to work in such a fantastic environment. Everyone
commented on how much they had enjoyed the Chris Burt sensory sensation we had presented on the evening and also how well Harland Wines had paired the wine to each course of food.

In the words of Chris Burt “It was amazing!!”

And to end, a special shout out to our star employee of the evening who spent one of her last nights of the summer holidays helping us out washing dishes and clearing plates! – Miss Ciara Lynn
