Macmillan World’s Biggest Coffee Morning!

01/11/2019

On Friday 29th September Finnebrogue Artisan participated in Macmillan’s biggest fundraising event for people facing cancer – the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning. The event asks people all over the UK to host their own Coffee Morning and donations on the day are made to Macmillan. After the success of last year’s event we decided to go even BIGGER this year and opened our Roof Garden Café up to the public between 10am-12noon.

The event was a huge success with friends, relatives and the local community attending to show their support and get to know a little more about Finnebrogue Artisan and what we produce. Each guest was treated to a cuppa and some tasty tray bakes all produced by the team here at Finnebrogue. Also available was a delicious Lemon and Fruit layered cake kindly donated by Picnic Deli, Killyleagh which proved to be a massive hit.

Speaking about the event Christine Lynn, Finnebrogue Artisan said

“Cancer is an illness that unfortunately so many people, including the team here at Finnebrogue are affected by, the Macmillan World’s Biggest Coffee Morning event gives us an opportunity to dedicate a few hours on a Friday morning to raise money for such an important cause.

“Because of all the support received from the team at Finnebrogue and the local community, our Macmillan Open House Coffee Morning managed to raise £3,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support. Absolutely fantastic.

“To all the staff who donated their time and supplying lovely tray bakes,” added Christine.
